Principals Year End Message: As this one of a kind year comes to an end I wanted to once again thank everyone for their outstanding efforts this school year and especially over the last few months. This school “Covid Era” was challenging to say the least but thanks to the hard work from all the teachers, support staff, students and parents here at Irvine School we were able to come together as one big team to make it through very successfully. At this time I would like to thank Ms. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Huene and Mr. Komistek for the commitment they showed to our students here at Irvine School. We wish Ms. Fitz and Mrs. Huene the best in their well earned retirements. We will miss you! We also have some changes for next year that will include Ms. Rozdeba moving to Kindergarten and Mrs. Karasek moving to our grade ⅔ class. We would also like to welcome two new teachers to Irvine School. We are extremely excited to be adding Natasha Shabley and Colton Sutter to the Irvine School team. Mrs. Shabley comes to us from Parkside School and Mr. Sutter from Dr. Ken Sauer School. If there are any new students who have yet to register for Irvine School for the 2020-21 school year we have registration forms available on our website which can be found at irvineschool.ca. If you have any inquiries in regards to registration you can also email us at [email protected]. For bussing information you can call our transportation supervisor at 403-527-5516 ext 2303. If you haven’t done so yet and are unable to pick up your child's report card here at the school by Friday at noon they will be available at our Divisional Office starting Monday and can be picked up between the hours of 8 am - 4 pm Monday through Thursday. We have been busy over the last few weeks planning for our return at the end of August and do have succinct plans prepared for various scenarios. Once we have more direction from the Government on August 1st we will share what these plans look like that correspond with that direction. These plans include many processes such as “stay at home when sick” procedures, visitor access, bus transportation loading and unloading, parent drop off, etc. We know many of you will have questions about such details in regards to next year and we will do our best to get this information to everyone so there is as little confusion as possible. I would like to remind everyone to make sure their contact information is correct for us here at the school as these messages will be shared via School Messenger as well as on our Irvine School Facebook page. As we end this school year we would like to wish all of our grade 9’s the best of luck as they move on to High School as we here at Irvine School will miss having you with us. We hope everyone has a relaxing, fun and healthy summer break as I know you all have earned it. And even though all the staff here are also excited for a well earned summer break we are just as excited to having everyone return to classes in the fall in as normal a fashion as possible. As always if you have any questions please feel free to email me any time at [email protected]. Once again, thank you all for the continued support we have received from you and have a great break!
